5 essential wagyu cooking tips:

Make sure every holiday meal's centerpiece is cooked to perfection with our chef-approved Wagyu preparation tips! 

  1. Use medium-high heat to cook: Wagyu marbling melts a lower temperature point than standard cuts of meat. Whip out a wide-mouthed cast iron pan to ensure even heat distribution and  For thicker cuts, use a reverse sear.
  2. Don’t overcook: Rare to medium-rare is often ideal to let the rich marbling and nuanced Wagyu flavor shine
  3. Don't overcomplicate the preparation: Wagyu doesn't need heavy seasoning to bring out its inherent robust flavor. In fact, you don't even have to use oil, since the meat contains enough intramuscular fat to sear the beef. A combination of cracked black pepper and sea salt is often more than enough to highlight the steak's flavor. 
  4. Let it rest after cooking: A 5-10 minute rest allows the savory juices to redistribute throughout the meat, enhancing the buttery texture.
