The Bavette or "Flap Steak" is a versatile cut of Wagyu. Cook it whole or cut it into steaks. One of our favorites is to marinate it and slice it against the grain for leveled-up fajitas. 

The product you receive may be slightly different than shown. Due to natural variations in our cattle, the shape, size, and/or weight of individual cuts may vary. It is normal to see slight variations in color and marbling depending on both the type of product and the aging process.

Caroland Farms Wagyu offers a pick up option at checkout. If you live near Landrum, SC and would rather stop by and pick up your order at the farm, by all means choose this option.

For Pick Up, simply add your items to the cart and at checkout select the option that says "pick up". Then complete the check out. Please email hello@carolandfarmswagyu.com or call 864-747-8458 to schedule a pick up time. 

For shipping orders, we work with UPS and FedEx to deliver your products safely to your destination.  

Once your order leaves the farm at Caroland Farms Wagyu, your order will be managed by UPS or FedEx.  You will receive an email with your tracking information and we will keep you informed of any issues. For questions related to your order, refer to your tracking number with UPS or FedEx or contact us if needed.

Shipping Details

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the shipping location and the weight of the package. We will do everything in our means to get your order delivered with the beef still frozen or partially thawed.

Caroland Farms Wagyu ships orders Monday through Thursday. Orders received on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday.

Your beef is packaged with care.

Your Caroland Farms 100% Full Blood Wagyu beef will be vacuum sealed and frozen.

All orders will be shipped frozen and will arrive frozen to partially thawed.  It may be refrozen as long it’s still below 40 degrees Fahrenheit upon arrival. If the product arrives at room temperature or warm, please contact us immediately.

We try to avoid using dry ice and cold packs as it can damage the beef, which is why we use overnight shipping. Every package is packed with high quality insulation to ensure it stays frozen or partially thawed. Once the package arrives, it is your responsibility to keep the product frozen. For example, if you’re away or the package is neglected, and the package thaws, we cannot take responsibility for any lost product.

Product Variation

Each product you receive may be slightly different. Important Shipping Notes

Caroland Farms Wagyu cannot be responsible for product that fails to be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete addresses, or to PO addresses.  Please check the address before completing your order.

Reasons for package delays include poor weather and other unforeseen disasters. We will be in touch with you if such events occur both before and after your order has left the farm.

Caroland Farms Wagyu cannot be responsible for shipping delays or problems caused by the shipping company, for failure to deliver in an untimely fashion, for incorrect addresses and other failed delivery attempts, and for inclement weather conditions and/or other acts such as natural disasters or unforeseen events.

A little work...but worth it.

I have purchased Bavette from several Wagyu online sellers so I know a good Bavette. I have purchased some nicely cleaned up with fat and silver skin removed ready to cook as well as some that need cleaning up. This is the latter of the two but with the proper knife and a little time, it is well worth the work. Once trimmed and cleaned up, I simply rub it with cracked peppercorns and pink Himalayan salt, let it sit for a bit in and get to room temp,. Once at room temp I heat up a cast iron skillet, add butter. Sear both sides for 4-5 minutes then pop in a 400 oven until it get's to an inside temp of 130*. I rest it for 5 minutes, cut it against the grain and what an AMAZING STEAK. I just would prefer to not do the trimming. The silver skin can be tough without the correct knife.
